A reel life incident took place in real life chain of events at Hinoo area of the city on Thursday. Ashok Ram, 25-yrs-old, shot Rajni Kumari (Name Changed), a first year student, after she rejected his marriage proposal. The girl was sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences where she is receiving medical treatment for bullet wounds in her shoulder and chest.
“Tum meri na ho saki to kisi aur ki bhi nai hogi (You can’t be anyone else’s (love) if you can’t be mine) were the words Ashok said to Anjali before shooting her. We were successful in nabbing Ashok but he slit his wrists when we arrested him. Now he too has been admitted in RIMS for medical treatment,” informed police sources.Ashok had been jailed in the past on account of gambling charges. Anjali, aware of his criminal record, denied his repetitive marriage proposals. She got critically injured and the boy cut his vein after firing at the girl. Both are admitted for treatment at RIMS in Ranchi.
