Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, who reached Dhanbad on Tuesday, said that Jamshedpur East seat is included in his priority list as far as contesting Vidhan Sabha is concerned. However, since he is now part of JDU, the alliance leaders will decide what needs to be done.
He clarified that there is already an alliance between BJP and JDU in Bihar and Jharkhand before he joined JDU. Therefore, only the senior leaders of the party led by national president of JDU will decide this. He said he is friends with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar since his student life.
Roy hinted that the forthcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand will be a close contest between ruling and opposition alliance. “It is certain that this time the assembly elections will be different in many respects," he added. New equations are likely and voters will be wooed in a new way.
Roy was in Dhanbad to meet family members of former Jharkhand minister Baccha Singh, who died recently.
