Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation cum Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha on Thursday talked to director general of police DK Pandey asking him to keep Daru block in Hazaribagh Sadar police subdivision. He said villagers of Daru want to stay with Sadar subdivision but recently in a decision, the block was included in newly formed Vishnugarh police subdivision.
Sinha said villagers are against this decision and protesting since they came to know about it. He said Daru is situated only 10 kms away from Sadar Police Subdivision, whereas its distance from Vishnugarh police Station is 30 kms. According to Sinha, he told to Pandey to look into this matter and keep Daru in Sadar police subdivision.
On Sinha's instruction, a team of BJP leaders from Hazaribagh led by Surendra Sinha met the DGP on this matter this afternoon. However, Pandey said he will take suitable action in this matter but once this recommendation comes through right channel. He said he needs recommendation in this regard from deputy commissioner as well as superintendent of police. Team said they will meet the officials tomorrow and ensure this work get done from them as soon as possible.
