The 20th annual conference of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Jharkhand, JASICON 2021, was inaugurated on Saturday by Dr Abhay Dalvi, National President of ASI.
Based on the theme "Innovation and safety in surgery", the three-day conference is being organised virtually. A total of 250 surgeons are participating in the annual conference.
Eminent surgeons from Jharkhand and different parts of India along with some from abroad like Dr Clare Mcnaught and Dr Mark Peter from England, Dr Abhay Dalvi Mumbai, Dr G Siddesh from Mysore, Dr Shailesh Srikhande from Tata Memorial Mumbai, Professor Chintamani from Delhi, Dr Sanjay Kumar of Tata Motors are part of the annual conference and will present research papers.
About 100 scientific papers will be presented in different categories including six award categories where young doctors and post graduate students will present their scientific research papers.

HOD Surgery Tata Motors Hospital, Jamshedpur Dr Arunima Verma is the organising chairman of the conference.
Dr Arunima is also the first lady chairman of Jharkhand Surgical Society (ASI).
