A jawan of Jharkhand Police committed suicide over a family dispute under Tundi Police Station in Dhanbad on Friday night. Binod Das (37) allegedly committed suicide after hanging himself from a tree under Jondra hillock area under Tundi police station last night. Das hangs himself enduring family problems in his house, police said.
Das was on duty at Tundi and returned home at 4 PM, later at night after a dispute he told to his family that he is going out for defecation and did not return home. Today we found his body hanging from the tree”, added the police. Body has been sent for postmortem, we are investigating into the matter, said OC of Tundi police station.
He was a resident of Katniya village and presently posted at Police line Dhanbad. The exact reason which prompted him to take his life was yet to be ascertained, he added.
