In a proud moment for the entire Kolhan region, Dhruv Prakash, a resident of Jamshedpur, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 385 in the prestigious JEE Advanced 2025 examination. A student of DAV Public School, Bistupur, Dhruv’s exceptional performance has brought immense pride to the city and inspired countless other aspirants.

Dhruv, known for his consistent academic track record, had earlier scored 98.6% in his Class 10 board exams and 94.8% in Class 12. With a firm goal of becoming an engineer, he began his coaching at Prerna Classes in Jamshedpur, where he dedicated himself completely to cracking one of India’s most competitive exams.

His journey through JEE Mains was also impressive. In his first attempt, he secured a 99.97 percentile with an AIR of 489 and followed it up with a 99.93 percentile in the second attempt. In JEE Advanced, he scored 242 out of 360, achieving the remarkable AIR 385.

Apart from studies, Dhruv is passionate about playing chess and now, after years of focused effort, hopes to visit Dubai as a reward to himself.

He attributes his success to his parents, teachers, and above all, to his disciplined lifestyle. Dhruv’s daily schedule began at 4 am, followed by a well-structured plan—numerical practice till 9 am, theory study in the afternoon, and revision and problem-solving in the evening.

His father, Ram Niranjan Singh, who works at Tata Steel, said, “Dhruv’s dedication and hard work have paid off. We are extremely proud of him.” His mother, Priyanka, shared that he has always been a quiet, sincere, and goal-oriented child. His story serves as an inspiration for countless students across the region who aspire to achieve great heights through hard work and perseverance.
