Taking up a few vital issues and questioning the private schools’ arbitrariness over fee hike and admission charges, going considerably high, members of Jharkhand Abhibhavak Manch (JAM) on Thursday conducted a meeting.

During the meeting, the members stated that maximum private schools in the name of admission forms are charging a hefty sum from the parents. The members further opined that the school managements have kept cost of admission forms to up to Rs. 1500. Further, discussing about Fee Regulation and Control Act, 2017, the members stated that despite having stringent norms, private schools are violating the norms fearlessly. “Several issues were discussed predominately focusing on the hefty sum being charged from parents for admission forms.

If any such complaint cases come to JAM, the organisation will take stringent action against the school authorities,” said, JAM Secretary, Sanjay Saraf. Also, members gave their consent to open a branch of this respective parents association in those districts which are yet to open JAM branch.
