The Jharkhand unit head of All India Professional Congress Aditya Vikram Jaisawal has written to the Chief Executive Officer, Aayushman Bharat for directing Ayushman affiliated hospitals to conduct free COVID-19 sample testing in Jharkhand.
He stated in the letter that this will help increase the number of tests in the State. “Moreover, in case the facilities in the Ayushman affiliated hospitals are not conducive for carrying out the testing, the four labs approved by the Government as per office order no. 137(HSN) dated 01.05.2020 (enclosed herewith) should be brought under the Ayushman Scheme and these hospitals should work in tandem with these laboratories, to increase the number of tests in the State of Jharkhand,” he stated.
Jaiswal further said that by taking these steps, the number of tests in Jharkhand will significantly increase and can be affordable by all strata of the society.
