Congress candidate Kumar Jai Mangal also known as Anoop Singh will file nomination for Bermo Assembly bye-election on October 14. Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Chief, Rameshwar Oraon, Congress Legislature Party Leader Alamgir Alam, Health Minister Banna Gupta, Agriculture Minister Badal and senior Congress leaders will be present on the occasion.
JPCC Spokespersons Alok Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta informed that the JPCC Chief has already made it clear that all the party ministers in the State Government along with MLAs, senior leaders and office bearers will be present on the nomination filing of Singh and the Ministers and MLAs will be entrusted with different areas for the Bermo Assembly bye-election to ensure victory of the party.
Speaking on the issue, Congress Legislature Party Leader, Alamgir Alam said that the party is confident that it will certainly win the Bermo Assembly seat. “The party will contest the election on the work done by the veteran trade union leader and six times MLA from the seat, Late Rajendra Prasad Singh. People of Bermo know Singh’s family very well from four decades so it will be easy for the party to campaign for the party candidate Jaimanagal Singh,” he added.
The notification regarding the polling issued by Election Commission on October 9 and nomination will be filled till October, 16. The date of scrutiny of candidates is October 17 and the date of withdrawal of name is October 19. Polling will be held on November 3 and results will be declared on November 10.
Agriculture Minister Badal said that the victory of both Mahagathbandhan candidates Basant Soren and Kumar Jayamangal Singh from Dumka and Bermo seats respectively is certain. “People of both seats know that BJP brought the farm laws for the capitalists, middlemen in favour of hoarders. The people are not going to come in the trap of BJP. The Grand Alliance will contest and win the elections with double margin in both the seats,” he added.
Meanwhile, apart from JMM Executive president and Chief Minister, Hemant Soren Congress leaders like Rural Development Minister, Alamgir Alam, Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh, MLA Irfan Ansari, Pradeep Yadav, Mamta Devi, Rajesh Kachhap, Amba Prasad and Congress candidate from Bermo, Kumar Jayamangal were present during nomination filing of Grand Alliance and JMM candidate Basant Soren in Dumka. A large number of Congress party workers were present on the occasion.
