Bhawnathpur MlA Bhanu Pratap Shahi has allegedly threatened an ASI Ajay Kumar Singh over phone from the Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi, police said.
According to Garhwa SP Priyadarshi Alok, on Wednesday at around 10 pm Shahi called from mobile number 7677841768 to ASI Ajay Kumar Singh on mobile number 7677354092 and said that if Ajay takes interest to produce witnesses in PS case number 53/06, he will get transferred. The ASI complained to the SP immediately after the call.
SP again said that Bhawnathpur police has lodged an entry in the Station Diary in the connection and after inquiry police will take needful action.
It is known that Bhawnathpur PS case no.53/06 has been lodged against Bhanu Pratap Shahi and others under sections of Harijan Atrocities act and several sections under IPC.
