Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will begin the copy evaluation of 2014 intermediate science and commerce subjects’ examinations from March 25. The copy evaluation of arts stream will commence from April 25.

A workshop regarding this respective State board examination was held at the council auditorium under the supervision of JAC Chairman Anand Bhushan on Saturday. “We have directed the DEOs and teachers to strictly follow step marking process,” Joint Secretary of the Council Sushil Kumar said.

According to JAC Chairman, the evaluation of intermediate copies will be carried out in 31 centres. Bhushan has strictly instructed all the evaluation people to change ‘Standard Marks Foil’ during every copy evaluation. Each teacher has to evaluate as many as 20 copies in a day. As directed by Bhushan, every Centre Head will have to counsel his or her teachers for initial three days of evaluation. He said, “A subject expert will be deployed at every evaluation centre.”

Kumar said that the teachers have complained of ‘space crunch’ in managing adequate space for answer sheets of this session. He said, “Due to the election-phase we are facing problems in vehicle availability for collecting the corrected answer sheets of last year so that the space for this year’s answer sheets could be managed. This problem will be sorted out within a week.”
