Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) would evaluate the copies of intermediate exams from April 2 in step marking system. Step marking for matric has also started this year.
At a workshop held on Saturday under the aegis of JAC Chairman Anand Bhusan for the District Education Officers (DEOs) and Centre Superintendents (CS), Bhusan said, "Similar to last year, JAC would declare its result on time." The tentative date is May 31. The rules for intermediate copy checking are same as that meant for matriculation copy correction this year.
The participants were provided a memorandum of marking system. This memorandum states that answer sheets should not be given to the evaluators for evaluation until and unless the given marking scheme has been thoroughly discussed with them in group or individually on the first day of evaluation. For the convenience of evaluation centre officials standard marks foil was enclosed in this memorandum. JAC vice chairman Abdul Subhan and Secretary Sushil Kumar Roy were also present.
