Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has geared up for evaluation of answer sheets of matriculation (matric) and intermediate (inter) examination of this session. The matric copies will be evaluated from March 21 onwards whereas copies for inter will begin from March 25.
Sharing the information on Friday, JAC Chairman Dr Anand Bhushan said, “The copy evaluation for each category will be carried out for 15 days. Matric copies will be evaluated across 37 centres from March 21. The copy evaluation of Inter Science and Commerce streams will commence from March 25 at 31 centres. For Inter Arts we will begin the evaluation from April 25. Since most of the teachers will be involved in the upcoming electoral affairs in April so the date of concluding these evaluations has not been fixed yet.”
To make the evaluation process ‘corruption-free’ JAC for the first time is giving the entire ‘finance’ required by teachers for marking pattern and allowances for each centre in pre0evaluation workshops. “Today we organized the workshop for District Education Officers and Centre Superintendents for matric copy evaluation. The entire fund for this purpose was given to avoid ‘objectionable incidents’ among our employees. Similar will be done for inter copy evaluation,” Bhushan said. Bhushan has strictly instructed all the evaluation people to change ‘Standard Marks Foil’ during every copy evaluation. Each teacher has to evaluate as many as 20 copies in a day. As directed by Bhushan, every Centre Head will have to counsel his or her teachers for initial three days of evaluation.
