All is not going well within the ruling coalation with the announcement of JMM candidate Mahua Majhi for Rajya Sabha election as other partner in Chief Minister, Hemant Soren led coalition Government, Congress openly expressed its displeasure on the issue and said that other JMM should also follow policy of alliance. In a move to control the damage caused by this episode Congress State In- Charge, Avinash Pandey along with Congress Legislature Party Leader, Alamgir Alam and JPCC Chief, Rajesh Thakur reached Chief Minister’s residence to meet him.

Before going to the Chief Minister’s residence Pandey told media persons that he is going to meet the Chief Minister formally.  The party’s State In-Charge reached Ranchi on Tuesday morning.

As soon as JMM announced Mahua Maji as the candidate of Rajya Sabha, there was panic and anger in the Congress. Pandey hurriedly reached the party's National Chief, Sonia Gandhi at her residence in Delhi. After meeting Gandhi, the State In-Charge attitude was very harsh. He said that after coming to Ranchi, the future strategy would be decided after meeting the MLAs and the Ministers from the party. “It seems that JMM has insulted the party’s National President by not keeping the word of Sonia Gandhi. There is a lot of resentment inside about this. A big decision will be taken after meeting with MLAs and MPs,” he added.

Pandey first interacted with Congressmen for more than an hour at Hotel BNR. After this, one to one conversation was held with each of the MLAs and ministers in the Congress Bhavan. After brainstorming for more than six hours, he directly said that Congress did not have the numbers, so the party did not give a candidate. He said that he had come to hold a meeting regarding the organization.

When Pandey was asked that there is displeasure among the MLAs regarding the Rajya Sabha. In response to this, the in-charge said that there is no displeasure among the MLAs. The discussion in the political circles is in full swing that the Congress has completely gone on the back foot for the time being, he added.

The party State In-Charge said that the purpose of his coming to Ranchi was to review the preparations regarding the programs. There was talk on how to make the programs successful and necessary guidelines were also given. They have been asked to prepare for the two-day workshop starting tomorrow. In the workshop, all the MLAs, MPs, District Presidents and other leaders and workers will be present.
