Sailing on the ‘Modi wave’ to come to power with a bang in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das termed his Government in the State as ‘Modi Government’ in nature.
Talking to media after Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Das said, “It is Modi Government. Everything would be done in transparent manner with full accountability.” On the occasion, he also sought six months time as ‘honeymoon period’ for his Government and appealed the media to keep instant criticism on hold for some time. “Your role as fourth pillar of democracy is laudable and we welcome our critic. But you should provide us sufficient time of at least six months to work.”
He also said that on Monday review of every Department would take place so that the current picture of the State can come into light. The CM has also appointed Sanjay Kumar of Bihar Cadre as his Principal Secretary. Sudhir Rahate has been made energy secretary. Arun Singh has been given additional charge of the Planning Department and has been tasked to review sluggish pace of budget expenses. The CM said that next Cabinet expansion and allotment of portfolio would take place soon.
