Addressing a press meet on Sunday in the State Capital Congress MLA, Anup Singh said that the income tax raid at his Ranchi, Bermo and Patna residences is motivated by politics. It is also clarified that the things that came out during the raid that my daily earning is Rs one crore is also completely baseless, he added.
Singh said that during the raid, IT got only Rs 1 lakh 45 thousand from his Ranchi and Bermo residence. “I am saying this not from my mind but on the basis of the documents which IT has given to me. Income tax team has got Rs 91 thousand 400 from Ranchi and Rs 54 thousand from Bermo. The raid was over the day before Friday but the IT officials remained frozen at his house. I cannot go till the order comes from above. 38 hours of IT raid happened at my house. Raid was done through the caretaker in Patna. In the document given by IT officer Manish Kumar, he got a register. That house is in my mother's name. The register contains information about the rent of that house. From there IT got only Rs 600,” he added.
The MLA said that the second raid took place at Dhori residence which belongs to CCL. “They found my mother's jewel, which was valued at Rs 11 lakh 75 thousand 300 and got six bank accounts. There is another locker in my mother's SBI Doranda branch and a Central Bank locker whose keys have been given by my mother to the investigating officers. The third raid took place at my official residence in Ranchi. Got two punch of blue seats here. One was related to rigging in Jharkhand Academic Council and one was a paper for selling a property of a friend of mine,” he added.
“I inquired about the land which I had shown in the affidavit at the time of nomination. I have got six passports from my house. 9 lakh 92 thousand gold, 96 thousand silver have been found in Ranchi. During the raid it was publicized that my daily earning is Rs one crore which is absolutely wrong. The person about whom the news is written should also be favored. I and all my family members are hurt by such misleading news,” said Singh.
When asked whether you would go to court regarding this matter, he flatly refused it and said that IT called him on st November 21. He also said that he and his family have no relation with Ajay Singh for the last 10-12 years.
The MLA said that Nishikant Dubey gives the most love, he gets the news of all the investigating agencies first. “It seems that Dubey is leading all the investigating agencies. I am not aware that IT has transferred the case to ED. Anyone has the right to transfer the case, if IT feels that he should transfer the case to the ED, I will cooperate with the ED in the investigation,” he added.
