The Income Tax department today felicitated taxpayers from Jharkhand including individuals and corporate firms. In the individual category ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni was awarded for paying Rs 57.04 crore, while Nand Kishor Chaudhary was felicitated for paying Rs 2.84 crore income tax in the FY 17-18. Uday Shankar Prasad was felicitated for being the third individual to pay maximum income tax of Rs 2.33 crore.
In the Partnership Firm category Big Shop was felicitated for paying Rs 5.82 crore, while Kashyap Memorial Eye Hospital was felicitated for paying Rs 3.23 crore. Brothers Academy was felicitated for paying SR 3.01 crore as income tax.
In the Corporate category Central Coalfields Ltd was felicitated for being top taxpayer of Rs 2767.28 crore, while Timken India Limited was felicitated for paying Rs 121 core. Jamipol Ltd was awarded for paying Rs 42.01 crore.
Principal Chief Commissioner (Income Tax) Bihar and Jharkhand Kailash Chandra Ghumaria felicitated the taxpayers and encouraged the common masses to come forward for paying tax and building the nation.
