Irregularities come to light in JMMSY in Garhwa

Serious claims about problems with the Maiyan Samman Yojana have been made in the Kharaundhi block of the district. Reports say that some computer operators at the Panchayat office entered incorrect bank account numbers when registering beneficiaries. They listed their preferred individuals instead of the actual beneficiaries. In some cases, one woman’s account number was linked to eight different beneficiaries, while one man’s account number was used for six women.

Even though these women registered for the scheme, they are not receiving any funds. This means they often visit the block office to check their registration. There are concerns about widespread wrongdoing in the block, especially in Kupa Panchayat.

For example, funds meant for six beneficiaries were credited to Satyanarayan Gupta's account. Other accounts, including those of Satyendra Sah, Mukesh Shah, Lalti Devi, and Resham Devi, have also been involved. These funds were supposed to go to local women like Sunita Devi, Rani Kumari, Devanti Devi, Punita Devi, Chani Kumari, and Savita Devi from Kupa. Some beneficiaries claim they are being pressured to pay half of their funds to the computer operator who is involved in these issues.

BDO Ravindra Kumar has confirmed the problem. He stated they are aware of the situation and will investigate, taking the necessary actions.
