Adani Skill Development Centre, a non-profit organization, an initiative of Adani Foundation making this International Women’s Day more special keeping United Nation’s 2024 theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress” by creating employment opportunities for 2024 females lighting up lives across Pan India. The Adani Foundation is championing the cause of women's empowerment with fervor through the Adani Skill Development Centre. “We are proud on our commitment towards training and uplifting 2024 women on this day”, said Shri V. S. Gadhavi, Executive Director – Adani Foundation.
This initiative not only renders them employable but also instills a sense of empowerment, enabling them to acquire essential skills for a brighter future.
Adding to this, on this special occasion in a significant stride towards economic independence, livelihood opportunities were given to 1001 women with an average salary of Rs 15,000 across the nation. This infusion of talent and financial empowerment amounts to a total worth of over Rs 18 crores per year to be infused into the market. To name a few of the major sectors where these women will start their career are Retail, Apparels, Healthcare, Hospitality and IT in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Adani Skill Development Centre provides high-quality vocational training and skill development programs to empower individuals and communities across the nation. With state-of-the-art facilities and industry-aligned curriculum, the centre aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, enabling participants to achieve their full potential. By now, ASDC has trained over 1.40L youth with over 50% female participation and has impacted over 68% with sustainable livelihood opportunities since 2016. ASDC offers a wide range of more than 70 industry aligned courses across the nation in a hybrid model with providing access to online learning and practical at their state-of-the-art training centres. It is to note that ASDC offers the largest library of simulation based practices in various courses and provides skill development programs in metaverse.
