All India president of INTUC K N Tripathy today rapped the central government for its most brutal failure in handling the surge of the Coronavirus in the country all for the assembly elections in the four states but more at stake of it in West Bengal.
Tripathy said the country looks towards the political rallies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah where before these two top of the tops the entire protocols of the Covid appropriate behaviour fall apart and the same public later throw all caution against the Coronavirus to the wind and now this is destroying the lives of the innocent people in huge numbers every day.
He said the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should not blame the people for this rise in the Coronavirus pandemic rather it is these two and their central government that is slow and tepid in taking on the Coronavirus.
He said the Prime Minister and the Home Minister must tell the country as to how such an inept inefficient and ineffective handling of the Coronavirus has been done in the country.
Tripathy said the BJP is waiting for May 2 the day of the poll results and only then it may find time for the countrymen who are reeking under the curse of the Coronavirus.
He said the two top leaders must explain as to how lakhs of people are at Haridwar Kumbh Mela where there is an outbreak of Coronavirus.
Tripathy said he has been doing Shahi Snan at Kumbh Mela in the past but this year he decided to be with the people of his district and state in this hour of Coronavirus surge.
He urged the state government to ensure easy availability of beds, oxygen medicine etc for the patients and under no circumstances any patient be left to die on road or on stretcher for want of the beds.
Tripathy asked for the hotels to be requisitioned to become Covid care center in the state.
