An international Sarna Dharma summit was held with a spiritual fervor in BS College in the venture of Raji Padha Sarna Maha Sabha till late evening of Friday.
In the meet many followers of the Dharma from Odisha, Bihar, Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and many states gathered. The spiritual orator of the Dharma Badhan Tigga said, “The followers of this Dharma reside in the lap of the nature. The Dharma is most ancient and worth following. The tribal society will step forward and make progress only after being educated. This is the religious summit and we will try till all the tribes of 32 communities come together. We can protect our culture by the mean of education.
The chief guest Mukesh Biruba said, “Sarna Samaj goes with the rule of the Earth as it moves along rightwards we perform our culture towards right side.” Religious guide DD Tirkey said, “In Odisha, the movement of the Samaj is on full swing as they are dissatisfied with the policies of Centre.
Taposi Oraon said, “In Bengal the people are connecting rapidly to the society as they are being awared.” The programme was presided by District Head Biri Bhagat and directed by Fuldev Oraon and Shiv Shankar Tana Bhagat. In the summit the people from Kherwar, lohra, Oraon, Munda, Santhali, Ho, Kharia, Nagesia, Vedia and Sarna society were present.
