Expressing the Government’s commitment to provide security to its employees, Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba directed the DCs, SSP and SPs of all districts on Tuesday to ensure that no one creates a nuisance for officials disposing Government work.“It has been reported that some mischievous elements were interfering with government work and threatening public servants. No tolerance should be shown towards such individuals and strict legal action should be taken against them immediately so deter such incidents in future,” said Gauba.
He instructed the DCs and SPs to review police security availed persons misbehaving with public servants and withdraw it. He also asked them to review the necessity and relevance of arms and ammunition of such individuals and cancel their license if required.He assured that the State Government has taken cognizance of such incidents and directions issued in this regard should be strictly implemented.
