An eleven-year-old boy Sabir Khan, son of Nasim Khan resident of Bala Toli village of Kisko block in lohardaga, was suffering from Inseflytis.

The case threw the health department in a great turmoil. This is the first patient of lohardaga found suffering from this fatal disease. To control the spread of disease the health dept is organising medical camps. The matter came into the light when the blood samples of the villagers were tested. A campaign for using pesticides and awaking for sanitation is also being conducted here.

The sources told that Sabir was suffering from acute fever for last 20 days and doctors detected Malaria and typhoid. He didn’t recover even after taking medicines. Then he was taken to RIMS in Ranchi. Soon Dr. Rajkumar Bek was informed and a medical camp was organised in the head of NK Sahi where 87 people were provided medical check up.

The CS Dr. Bek said, “Generally the disease spreads in flood affected areas by Qulunx mosquitoes and this is found in pigs. The patient suffers from fever, cold and brain transition. The disease is fatal for a human being.”
