The mantra for success is to fall in love with one’s work. Bokaro’s artist Indu Mishra has translated this saying into reality. She fell in love with art as a child and today she is known for her master strokes. Motivated by her husband, she has turned into a professional artist.

Indu Mishra, (39) is all set to exhibit her range of paintings in Jamshedpur. Her exhibition titled ‘Resonance’ will be organised at Off the Wall art gallery at Super Centre in Sakchi from September 4. Bokaro based Indu started painting after 35 because in all these years, she concentrated on her family and grooming her two sons.

“life has been a rollercoaster ride. I used to paint when I was in school but then I got married and family was my first priority. However, after my sons grew up I started it as a hobby but soon my house was filled with paintings. My husband then motivated me to organise an exhibition,” says Mishra. Indu’s husband Harshnath Mishra, who is a divisional general manager with the Bokaro Steel Plant, motivated her to showcase her collection through events. last year in October her second exhibition ‘Beyond the Boundaries’ was held at the JSCA stadium during the India-Australia ODI.

The exhibition in Jamshedpur will not only witness the finest work of art from the eminent artist but will also offer a rare opportunity to the students from the city’s art schools and institutions to interact with her.
