Around 25 to 30 students participating in the two days, 18th All India Inter-School and Club Yoga Championship, which commenced at the State capital on Saturday will soon get a scope to visit United States of America (USA).
Tarun Saha, a renowned yoga expert from this foreign country is here to select such students on the basis of their present performance. Speaking about the details, Ranchi Yoga Culture secretary Indrajit Chakraborty who is the organiser of this mega-event said, “Few of
the yoga students from Hazaribagh, Bundu, Netarhat or Jamshedpur are likely to be selected in this international category. All these selected students will be trained by Saha for Olympic level competitions.” “This was for the first time Saha had visited Ranchi for this special reason,” he added. Most of the participants in this ongoing championship hail from South Indian States and West Bengal.
Over all 700 to 800 students are showing their yoga skills at this meet. Chakraborty said, “The participations number has increased almost to 50 times this year. This clearly indicates that parents are encouraging their offsprings to practice yoga regularly. It is a good sign as yoga benefits in maintaining health and prevents diseases like blood pressure, obesity, spondylosis and indigestion.”
