A high-level team from Indian Navy led by vice Admiral SP lal visited HEC on January 23.
A presentation was made before the team, showcasing HEC’s strength in manufacturing of equipments of Defence and strategic sector especially for Naval application. Before the presentation, CMD, HEC, Avijit Ghosh welcomed the delegates from Indian Navy and thanked Admiral lal for his visit to HEC. In the presentation, Director (Fin.), COPs of HMBP, FFP and HMTP along with COBD and COM were also present.
Thereafter, the team visited the unique foundry and Forging facilities of FFP, and the machining, Gear Shop and fabrication shop of HMBP.
In the concluding meeting, Admiral lal expressed that HEC can play a very significant role in the Indigenisation programme of Indian Navy with the kind of facilities available with HEC.
After this visit from Indian Navy, it is expected that a new era has begun for HEC as a one stop solution provider for Defence Sector.
