By hosting fest, students are learning the skills of event management; the participants are gaining knowledge explaining the various aspects of realistic case studies followed by a group discussion on the other side. In these 48 hours the finals of only three events are being organised on off-line mode at IIM-R itself comprising HR event — Vorstand, Corporate Social Responsibility event —Sankalp and Finance event —Plutus. The initial two events were held on Saturday. The lattter is scheduled on Sunday.

XlRI Post-graduate Diploma in HR first batch students team Karan and Karn who won the Vorstand correlated this competition beneficial with the practical life of their future career. “It was indeed the toughest competition we have undergone. All the groups had quality standard minds,” Karn said. Similar were the views of SCMHRD students Chandan and Shashank who could not bag winner’s position but expressed satisfaction to reach the finals. Chandan said, “We both belong to Ranchi so it was a home play feeling.”

Runner-up, TISS Master of Arts HR first batch students Meenal and Amit highlighted the interaction here. They said, “We missed our first flight to Ranchi on Saturday. The amount we have gained as prize money will help us to manage the second flight ticket. The event helped us in grasping the innovative presentations of best B-schools.” Notably, IIM-R had launched this fest on January 20 and except the above three events it had conducted the preliminary to final rounds of all the events on its website made exclusively for this Festival.

Jinson Chacko, representative of Media Public Relations cell and literary Committee of IIM-R said, “Hosting the grand event, inviting the participants and making arrangements concerned to this programme has strengthened our potential to host many more events successfully,” supported by students Kishan and Bhavana. “last year, we tried to host this programme but could not make it up. But, this time our efforts turned fruitful. Probably, this is a good sign of learning experience,” Chacko added.

Judges — basically from Private and Public industries —  explained how to maintain body language while accompanying office people in the Board Room as a Manager.  Arcenciel is basically a fest encompassing the panorama of learning in a B-school and prepare them as future leaders.
