Art and Craft Exhibition at SCS
An Art and Craft Exhibition was organised in the junior wing of Surendranath Centenary School to celebrate the talent and artistic skills of its young students. The exhibition showcased an array of innovative and creative items, including origami birds and animals, best-out-of-waste creations, and traditional Jharkhand paintings. Parents who had come to attend the PTM appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in putting together such a wonderful display. Principal Samita Sinha said that she was thrilled to see the students' talent and imagination shine through in the exhibition, reflecting their commitment to sustainability.
Undertrial escapes from MMCH
An undertrial inmate of the central jail here in Daltonganj identified as Rishikesh Dubey, 26, fled the Qaidi Ward in the MMCH Daltonganj today. Jail superintendent Bhagirath Karjee said this UT inmate was admitted to the MMCH Qaidi Ward on January 30. The UT inmate was in the central jail here since December 2023 said the jail superintendent. Dubey is an accused of murder and arms act added the jail superintendent. Medical superintendent of the MMCH Daltonganj Dr Dharmendra Kumar said the patient cum UT inmate pushed one security guard and then fled the Qaidi Ward. He outwitted the lone guard all for water to wash his face. He was not hand cuffed said sources in the MMCH Daltonganj. Police are investigating the escape.
NSUI writes to CM on need based appointment
NSUI has written a letter to the Chief Minister, Jharkhand Government demanding complete cancellation of the need based appointment process. State Vice President Aman Ahmed wrote in the letter that currently the need based assistant professor appointment process is being conducted by Ranchi University and the educational documents of the candidates are being verified. In this appointment, the eligibility related rules of UGC are being followed strictly, whereas UGC itself has told the state government and state universities that the State Public Service Commission can make the appointment rules for the appointment of Assistant Professor in the university operating in its state and the appointment should be made as per this rule.
