ECR to run 13 pairs of MEMU passenger trains
For the convenience of passengers, 13 pairs of MEMU Passenger Special trains will be operated by East Central Rail from March 08 till further notice. Every day Patna Junction to Gaya (03 pairs), Jasidih, Barauni, Islampur and one pair each from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to Buxar and Patna, one pair each from Rajgir to Fatuha and Danapur and Samastipur to Saharsa; One pair of MEMU Passenger Special trains will be run from Sonpur to Chhapra and Danapur to Raghunathpur. In view of Covid-19, the fare of this MEMU Passenger Special train has been kept at par with Mail / Express (Unreserved) to ensure that the train is not overcrowded and to ensure compliance with Covid standards.
Inter-division safety audit at RRD
On the second day of the Inter Division Railway Safety Audit in Ranchi Rail Division, a detailed inspection of the running room and integrated crew and guard lobby at Hatia was carried out by the Principal Chief Safety Officer of East Central Railway, Shiv Kumar Prasad and his team. The inspection started from the running room. The running room provides facilities for crew and guards such as air-conditioned living room, multi-gym for exercise, yoga room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian kitchen room and reading room. He inspected the arrangement of toilets and bathrooms, as well as all of the running room the register and complaint book as well. After this, Prasad and his team inspected the integrated crew and guard lobby at Hatia railway station and also took safety and other information from the employees working during the inspection.
DPS student shines in Mindwars Olympiad
Aayush Kumar (Std V) of DPS Ranchi brought laurels to his alma mater as the National Rank Holder in Zee TV Mindwars Olympiad 2020. Its a matter of great hilarity and pride for the school that in a competition where hundreds of schools from across the country had participated he ensnared a National Rank. He will be rewarded with a Merit Certificate and a cash prize of Rs 2500. Free Gynae Camp by Apollo
On the auspicious occasion of Women's Day, Apollo Clinic is going to conduct a free gynaecological examination camp, which is scheduled on 8 March 2021 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
