Ranchi MP meets Railway Minister

Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth on Saturday met Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi and requested him to increase the frequency of Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express from four days a week to seven days a week. Seth told Goyal that the number of passengers travelling to the national capital from Ranchi was growing by the day, and all the tickets are often booked at least a month prior to the date of journey. Running the train daily will provide more options to passengers and increase the probability of getting reserved berths in the train, Seth added. He also put forth the need of Railway over Bridges (ROB) at three railway crossings in Chandil – an industrial town that witnesses a high flow of goods trains. The high frequency of goods trains crossing the town keeps the crossings closed for several hours and disturbs the traffic flow, he told the Minister.
