Consumers moving towards BSNL
Due to the increase in the rates of private telecom service by up to 25 per cent, the trend of customers is moving towards the state-owned telecom company BSNL. BSNL Chief General Manager KK Singh said that all the telecom companies have increased their tariff rates, due to which the attraction of mobile customers towards BSNL has increased. He also said that the aim of BSNL has always been to provide service at affordable rates to its customers and not to make profit. In the last 12 days, about 2403 consumers in Jharkhand have joined BSNL. While private telecom company is charging Rs 839 for 2 GB per day data and unlimited calling facility for 84 days from the subscribers, BSNL is also giving 100 free SMS with the above facility for 90 days for just Rs 499.
