Railways ready to counter fog

With the change in the weather, many steps are being taken by the Railways for safe operation of trains in the winter season due to the fog so that during the fog, the minimum number of trains is affected and passengers are not disturbed. For this the engines have been fitted with a fog safe device. The fog safe device is a GPS-based device that warns loco pilots of a forward signal, allowing loco pilots to control the speed of trains. Apart from this, fog men are also being deployed who will install detonators to inform the status of the signal on the railway line during the fog. When the train passes over the detonator on the railway track, there is a cracker-like sound, which causes the loco pilots to be alert about the incoming signal. On the one hand, while there will be an increase in safety, there will be improvement in punctuality despite the fog.
