Declare scribes as corona Warriors: Sahay to Cm
Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Subodha Kant Sahay has appealed to the Chief Minister to declare the journalists of the State as frontline warriors and initiate some financial assistance to dependents of deceased journalists. “Journalists are generally financially weak. Therefore, I again request that the State government be their assistance. Many journalists have died in recent years while performing their duties, including Mrityunjay Shrivastava and Sunil Singh. Sunil’s death has shaken us to our hearts. Several other young journalists have perished in the past. It hurts to think about what happens to their families. Who will think of these families? Many states have announced support not only to journalists but also to hawkers. Therefore, I request you to come forward and help them in this hour of grief,” he requested the CM.
