Paradise Society gives study material to needy kids

While children residing in urban areas are continuing their education through online classes, children in far-flung Jharkhand are most affected by the closure of schools. Apart from interruption in their education, inefficiency of other material and psychological resources (which schools provide) like mid-day meal, iron pills for adolescents, psycho-social support etc has put many children at risk of various ills like Child labour, trafficking, child marriage etc. Hence ASHA NGO has trained and motivated community counselors to provide educational support to children in their respective villages and can involve 36 community counselors in this journey. So far the institution has been able to reach out to 290 such children in the age group of 4-14 in 20 villages of Ranchi and Khunti districts. Ajay Jaiswal (member of the organization and founder of Asha Foundation) brought the entire project to the ground. Paradise provided logistics and material support: English, Maths and Hindi Copies – Total 900 Pcs, Pencil Box (with pencils, sharpener, eraser, ruler) – 300 sets, Water Container with Dispenser -  20 Pcs, Drinking water glass – 100 Pc, Big Sitting Mat – 20 Pcs to the students. The total project cost was around Rs.50,000. The ASHA NGO has played a significant role in the project by bearing the lunch expenses of the rural children studying in the classroom and the honorarium of the teachers.
