SBI helps orphan, old people under CSR

The State Bank of India (SBI) has always been spending 2 per cent of its net profit under its social concern scheme to bring smiles on the faces of the downtrodden, backward and deprived people of the society. On Sunday, under the ‘Joy of Giving’ program on behalf of SBI Administrative Office and Ranchi Business Office, a sound box with a large amplifier was provided to about 40 destitute and abandoned old people at the old age home, DAV Nandraj. They would be able to use the speaker in the morning and evening prayer meeting. Besides, food and clothing was also provided. Under the same scheme, a large Geyser and a large Washing Machine were provided for physically challenged children residing in the orphanage at Cheshire Home.
