SAIL units celebrate SAIL Day
SAIL Ranchi Units celebrated their 47th SAIL day with collective effervescence and camadarie and 2019 Year is a special occasion of completing 60 Years of Production and Nation Building. The day began with unfurling of the SAIL flag by KK Jha, ED (SSO); thereafter oath was administered to all SAIL employees by Shri Ajay Arora, ED (RDCIS) and SAIL anthem was played. Gracing the occasion at the stage were GM (CET) RK Burman and Sushmit Roy, DGM (MTI). Baloons were flown collectively to mark the start of the celebrations in a peaceful manner. The program was organized under the leadership of P. Mala Hemrom, GM (P&A).
Gossner student bags Photography Award
Amandeep, a student of Mass Communication and Video Production (MCVP) Department, Gossner College bagged third position in Motor Sports Photography held in Hyderabad from January 19 to 20. A large number of young photographers had contested for this national event. MCVP Faculty Member Mahima Golden Bilung said the youngster had set an example for his batchmates and undergraduate seniors.
Inter-house quiz competition at SBPS
With an objective to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge, an Inter-house Quiz Competition was organised in the premises of SBPS for students of Std. III-V. The questions were based on the culture and heritage of India. Three students from each house participated with full zest and enthusiasm. The auditorium buzzed with the cheers of the enthusiastic audience. In the competition, Yajurveda house bagged the 1st position followed by Atharvaveda house at 2nd position and Rigveda house at 3rd position.
