JPPC installed Sanitary Pad Vending Machine
A sanitary pad vending machine was installed by the Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress (JPPC) Committee and Charitable Charms Association at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi on Sunday. On this occasion Regional Co-ordinator of Professionals Congress Zarita Laftlong, JPPC Chief Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, Secretary, Khyati Munjal, Father Ajay Anil Tirkey of St. Xavier’s College Intermediate, Secretary Fund Arya of Vocational Department, HOD Gautam Rudra of Vocational Department were present. On this occasion, Zarita Laftlong, as the chief guest, inaugurated the sanitary pad vending machine and said that the installation of sanitary pad machines will reduce the health problems for women.
SER's initiative to jobless migrant workers
As a fallout of lockdowns in the wake of COVID–19, huge returnee migrant workers have been jobless at various parts of the country. In this situation, Govt. of India has introduced Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyaan to tackle the impact of COVID-19 on jobless migrant workers in the country. This is mainly a beneficiary scheme and Government of India has provided a funding of 50,000 Crores for 116 districts in 6 states of India. Abhiyaan is a mission to address the issues of returnee migrant workers through a multi-pronged strategy for providing immediate employment and livelihood. This scheme is being implemented in Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway. 1505 man-days of work till 04.09.2020 under Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyaan have been generated in the on-going infrastructural works in Balasore District of Odisha under Engineering Department of Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway.
ED arrests accused of chit fund scam
After year-long hunt, Enforcement Directorate arrested notorious brothers Rakesh Poddar and Mukesh Poddar who along with their associate Gorakhnath Bhagat had commited chit fund scam worth around Rs 10 crore during 2008-2010. They had formed a company MSS & Healthcare Ayurvedic Trust. ED sources said that Rakesh was arrested from Benaras whereas Mukesh was arrested from Muzaffarpur of Bihar. Their arresting was made on Saturday. On Sunday they were produced before special PMLA court in Ranchi.
