Binay Dayal, Director (Technical), Coal India Ltd ( CIL) on Wednesday stressed that IIT-ISM works in consonance with the Nation Education Policy 2020 so that the country becomes self-sufficient. He was addressing people on the 95th Foundation Day of the institution on a virtual platform.
Dayal, an alumni of the institution, said,"The institute has been contributing enormously in significant sectors like mining, environmental and other allied areas and directly helping both the state and nation on the economic front as well."
"I am grateful to the institute for welcoming me on this favorable occasion. This institute has substantiated itself as an institution par excellence for technological study for the students over the states and the countries. It is your consistency in work, commitment and determination; devotion of your teachers and staff; and the vision of strategy producers which make us glad to see the journey of my alma mater today," said Dayal.
He also deliberated the challenges the mining sector is consenting to and the measures to combat the challenges. Earlier, addressing the function Prof. Prem Vrat, Chairperson, BOG, IIT (ISM), Dhanbad said ,"The Institute’s rich legacy and the way it has emerged and endured over the last nine and half decades makes it dream high - to be one of the top technological institutions of the country."
