Jharkhand Government finally gets into communication mode with Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi (IIM-R) as the management institute began a six day Management Development Programme (MDP) for the Jharkhand Information Service (JIS) officers on Sunday. This is for the first time newly appointed state information officers have got the opportunity to learn communication from IIM-R.
As many as 19 officers are participating in this programme. According to sources, these officers would be taught about the role of communication and management theme with power point presentations. Sources even revealed that the MDP was formulated by the Information and Public Relation department few days ago. IIM-R Director MJ Xavier said, “The management part to communicate effectively will be explained to these officials. This is for the third or fourth time such managerial session is being organised for a certain branch people of the state government. We have been receiving good response from such regular programmes.”
IIM-R faculty and students involved in coordinating this important programme refused to disclose any kind of information to the media persons claiming that this was their own personal academic matter on Sunday when the MDP commenced.
