Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi (IIM-R) in the summer placement process for 2013-15 class of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM) has offered the highest stipend of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Notably, 72 firms participated in the summer placement held between the months of October to February dishing out 210 job offers to 197 students. According to sources, the latest placement records an achievement as the institute has been able to successfully emulate the trend of previous years despite an increase in the batch by 33 percent and an economic slowdown. The season saw participation from several reputed corporate brands across sectors such as Banking, Fast Moving, Consumer Goods and Durables, Strategy and Consulting, Automobile, Agri-business and Conglomerates.
Students saw overwhelming response from huge corporates brands and PSUs, even as many students opted to intern with exciting start-ups offering profiles across various verticals. Across business functions like Marketing, Finance, Strategy and Consulting and Operations, PGDM students found opportunities in various profiles conforming to their areas of interest. Corporates expressed high interest in recruiting from the second batch of PGDHRM students, as students were offered roles from some of the biggest corporate houses.
