Ichak police of Hazaribagh district have seized huge quantity of gelatin from a house in Dumraon village of Ichak block. Police has registered a case against the owner of the house. The officer in-charge of Ichak police station Navin Prasad said we received an anonymous phone call that huge quantity of gelatin and a detonator is kept in a house in Dumron village. On this information, we raided the house on Tuesday night.
From the house, the police recovered 1,215 pieces of gelatins and detonators. The house owner ran from the spot before this raid. Prasad said that the explosive kept there were to be used in stone mines. He said in December 2014 the Ichak police had recovered 1,400 pieces of gelatin and 2,750 pieces of detonators from a house near Ichak village. Ichak police has registered a case against owner of the house Arjun Mehta under section of explosive act 4/5.
