I-T survey in Dhanbad, Bokaro in tax evasion matter

In a tax evasion matter, the Income Tax sleuths conducted search operations at 23 premises at least belonging to coal traders in Dhanbad, and two premises belonging to gold traders in Bokaro Steel City on Tuesday.

Search and Survey operations were simultaneously launched by joint team of income tax sleuths (investigation wing) form Ranchi, Dhanbad and Boakro on 23 premises of different coal traders early morning at different locations in Dhanbad, I-T sleuths informed.

“Huge undisclosed incomes are detected during the search and survey operations, which are still continued,” added the official.

The search and seizure operations are launched at Shiv Shakti Coke, Ganpati Udoygh, Shivam Hard Coke, Sambhu Agarwal, DP Dalmia, R K Agarwal including others, sources informed.  

While at Bokaro Steel City, search and survey operations were simultaneously launched in the two premises of gold traders – Reshiv Jewellers and Swarnika Jewellers early morning, detected undisclosed income worth over several lakh rupees, IT sleuths informed.

Confirming about the tax evasion Income Tax official said, “In prima facie undisclosed amount of several lakhs rupees found during the operations”. Huge number of incriminating documents, bank lockers, Banks account, statements have been sized, operations are still ‘on’, added the official.
