Income Tax commissioner KK Sinha called the incident unfortunate where the income officials are physically assaulted in presence of police force. Sinha was talking to the media persons at his office in Ranchi on Friday. He also added that the incident has proved to be lesson for the I-T department and will go on any survey with more police force.
“We went there for a legal survey which was turned to be illegal where obstructions were created and were beaten up by the businessman. We do not expect such a conduct from our tax payers,” said Sinha.
He further added that an FIR has been lodged by their officials and the three brothers have been made main accused of the incident. According to Sinha, despite objections the I-T team conducted survey for the whole night which went on till 7 in the morning. The team had gone there to verify the declared stock of the firm and will seek explanation from the Singhanias if something is found fishy in it.
