All is not well with district unit of Bhartiya Janata Party which is said to be ‘a party with difference’. It is the battle of jealousy for the post among the workers that has made the BJP at Hazaribagh a party with differences.
At a time when the BJP workers are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of NaMo’s name as Prime Ministerial candidate and are working hard to regain power at the Centre, some old and new workers of Hazaribagh BJP are actually digging the pitch.
On September 5, the youth wing i.e. Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha organised a meeting near Munka Bagicha ignoring the district committee. Some workers blamed that seniors have not permitted them to sit at Atal Bhavan, the local BJP office, so they have shifted to other place.
On September 6, the people of Hazaribagh witnessed the scuffle of BJP workers at Amritnagar. The day a Chintan Shivir was held there to discuss about paving way for NaMo. Ex-MPs, Ex-MlAs, Ex-office bearers had arranged the shivir without consulting and informing the district president and other officials.
Deepak Nath Sahay, an old BJP worker, raised that why this shivir has been organised without giving information and getting permission of district unit and why they have not given the photo of MP Yashwant Sinha in the banner they are using. As he raised the question the shivir converted into battleground. District president of BJP Tunnu Gope said that he had informed the State unit about the incident.
