The audit and accounts reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India were tabled on Thursday in the State Assembly. The reports suggest a huge scam that needs to be probed thoroughly in the waste disposal works done by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation in the year 2011-13. According to the report the examination of the registration numbers of 92 vehicles used for dumping waste from the city to the yard revealed that they were either cars, bikes, scooters or auto-rickshaws. The report says that prime facie an approximated embezzlement of `4.72 crore was evident in the work and it must be probed.
