The city residents will soon get respite from lousy Internet services of state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited (BSNl) as new telecom players are set to enter in the market offering better speed and quality service at economical prices.
The services of few private players which include Airtel 4G services, Railtel (a telecom wing of Indian Railway), Reliance Jio will soon enter the market with various schemes and tariff plans to lure the netizens putting halt at the service of BSNl for the time being until its services are perked up.
“I am just waiting to turn down the service of BSNl and will soon opt for any private telecom service, irrespective of cost. It’s just not about speed but even after frequent complaints, the services of broadband have just not changed, giving me the same trouble time and again.
Even the grievance Redressal cell hardly acts promptly on complains,” said, a local resident, Poonam Sinha.
The recent decision of Railtel to initiate the internet service at major location in the city apart its ambitious railway project has come as a sigh of relieve to public and has widened the choice of internet users.
Railtel service in the financial year 2016-17 has targeted approximately, 10 thousand households to link it up with the high speed internet services. Presently, the service of Railtel in Jharkhand has covered as many as two thousand households. With the aim to widen its network, the company has already kicked off its internet service project in eight districts this includes Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Koderma, Jamtara, Pakur, West Singhbhum and East Singhbhum. Remaining other 16 districts too will be covered phase wise in the years to come. Notably, earlier the internet services of Railtel was only restricted to commercial units and now it has too amplified its sphere providing internet facility to the designated houses.
Similarly, two big corporate giants of telecom sectors, Reliance and Airtel will soon initiate its services in the state covering vast population. Reliance Jio will shortly initiate its service giving an average speed of 17.34 Mbps on the downlink. Airtel too is ready to jump in the ring giving tough competition to other telecom operators while enriching the high speed broadband internet experience in the coming days.
