In yet another incident of shoot out in the city, armed criminals shot at a hotelier at Govindpur level-crossing under Parsudih police station area on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Dhiraj Kumar Sinha (28), was returning home after closing his restaurant in Govindpur around mid-night when the incident took place. He is a resident of Subhashnagar in Parsudih.
According to the sources, three criminals intercepted the victim and one of them demanded him to hand over the cash he was carrying. When he protested, one of the criminals fired four shots at him. The criminals fled from the scene after snatching Rs 3,000. The victim was taken to the Tata Motors Hospital. However, it seems to be a case of loot. The police have picked up two persons on suspicion and are being interrogated.
