Hostile attempts against country will be dealt with iron hand: Shah

BJP national president Amit Shah today said that in the Narendra Modi regime any attempts to disturb the internal and external security of the country will be dealt with an iron hand. He said that the BJP government at the Centre has been dealing with external and internal aggression in the most suitable ways and will continue to do so in the interest of the nation.

Addressing an election rally at Pakur in Rajmahal Lok Sabha Constituency on Saturday Shah said that the Modi government’s most important achievement was to secure the borders of the country in last five years. The government not only tackled external aggression but also dealt with disturbing elements inside the country in a strict manner.

“During the UPA regime Pakistanis used to chop off heads of our soldiers but the silent Prime Minister did not even blink. But, during NDA rule the PM with a 56 inch chest called the Air Force and shattered the hideout of terrorists in Pakistan’s Balakot. Everyone was celebrating after the airstrike but Pakistan and the Opposition members were shedding tears,” said Shah asking, “Are they (terrorists) your (Opposition leaders’) cousins?”

“Rahul Gandi’s advisor Sam Pitroda says that four five youth have committed the mistake. Why did you drop bombs on them? Talk to them, talk to them.... Should we really need to talk to the terrorists? We will not take such stance. If Pakistan fires bullets, we will reply with tanks. Also, we will not let two PMs operate in the country. Make Hemlal Ji (Rajmahal Candidate of BJP) your MP and I assure you we will root out Article 370 from Kashmir,” said Shah.

The BJP president said that there was huge difference in the ideology of the NDA and Congress. “We are talking about removing Article 370 and they are talking about removing sedition law. We will not let this happen. As long as Narendra Modi government is there, all those chanting ‘Bharat Tere Tukde Honge...’ will be sent behind the bars,” he said.

Shah said that he witnessed Modi wave everywhere. “I have attended more than 300 election rallies in East, West, North and South. Right from culture, clothes, food and many other things were different in different areas, but the slogan of people was same...Modi, Modi. It’s not an election slogan. More than 125 crore people of the country want to make Narendra Modi the PM of the country again,” he said.

“It is because the Prime Minister toils for 18 hours a day and has not taken a single leave for over 20 years. There is no comparison between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, who goes on vacation every summer and no one knows where he goes. The Gandhi family has ruled for over 55 years and their 55 years’ work is less effective than what Modi Ji did in five years,” said the BJP president.

Counting some of the works of Narendra Modi government, Shah said that the BJP government gave LPG cylinders to seven crore women, eight crore people got toilets, two crore people got houses under PMAY, 2.5 crore people got electricity, 50 crore people became beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme and in last four months 25.10 lakh people got free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Earlier, addressing the people Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Santhal Pargana gave three Chief Ministers to the State but development was far away from the region. It was after stable governments formed at the Centre and State the fruits of welfare schemes started reaching the needy in the area.

The government is making a memorial at Birsa Munda’s birthplace, 322 km roads were built worth Rs 699 crore, 84 km national Highway is being built at the cost of Rs 3300 crore, 48,000 poor tribals got houses under PMAY in State, said the CM. In Rajmahal constituency alone four lane bridge and inland posrt is being build in Sahebganj on River Ganga, seven PHCs, 33 substations were set up, 50,000 litre capacity dairy plant was opened, Airports are being built at Deoghar and Dumka, said the CM.
