After the inclusion of Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha in PM Narendra Modi’s Cabinet, as a State Minister, hope of achchhe din has become stronger in Hazaribagh parliamentary constituency. When Jayant Sinha was sworn in, the party workers came out on the streets, burst crackers and distributed sweets.

The Pioneer talked with some citizens of Hazaribagh and tried to know their reaction and aspirations. Almost everyone recalled the election meeting of Modi held on April 15, 2014 in which he had said to vote for Jayant because he needed him to work with him at the Center. Dr. BP Rukhaiyar, member state executive council, BJP,  said that after Yashwant, Jayant has brought this proud moment for the denizens of Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts. "It can be said now that the area will move fast on the track of development now and Jayant will certainly complete the projects started by his father Yashwant Sinha in the days to come,” he said.

Rajendra lal, founder President, Chamber of Commerce, Hazaribagh, said that their community now hopes that Hazaribagh and Ramgarh will move fast towards industrialization which will create not only jobs for the local youth but will also give boost to the market. He also said that the Central Government has just announced allotment of a hospital like AIIMS at Hazaribagh and now with MP Jayant Sinha being a cabinet minister it can be hoped that soon it will be a reality.

Anjali Kumari, chairman, Hazaribagh Municipal Council said that Sinha has started making plans for the development of entire constituency from the day he became the representative of the people of Hazaribagh in the parliament. Allotment of hospital like AIIMS to Hazaribagh, bringing back the training centres of income tax, excise and customs are his achievements of six month tenure as an MP. Pramod Kumar, Grandson of first MP of Hazaribagh, late Babu Ram Narayan Singh, said that with the inclusion of Jayant Sinha in the central Cabinet it can be said that acche din are now not so far.
