Union Home Secretary RK Singh visited Chak post in Palamau on Friday where a company of CRPF and JAP(1) are deployed. He made quite an impression on the jawans, making a minute assessment of their uniforms too.
Singh expressed his disapproval over several things, including the shoes, leaving his officers in a bit of a fix. One of them finally pointed out to the Home Secretary that the quality depended on the Centre since it made the purchases. Security personnel too had complaints concerning daily life at the Chak post, which Singh listened to patiently.
